Mission

The target of the college is to bring forward the disadvantaged groups of the society. Besides, at large, the college’s vision is to spread education to students which would help them improve live standards, in the immaterial ways.
The students are thoroughly inspired to provide social service to the various quarters of the present society.
To organize academic programmes based on local as well as national requirements.
To have a curriculum that is student -centric so that students are able to harness their potential to the maximum.
To foster education, peace and justice in students.
To make students aware of their social responsibilities.
To help students learn to respect the dignity of every individual.

Vision

The vision of Baneswar Sarathibala Mahavidyalaya is to provide inclusive education for inculcating human values, professionalism and scientific installation to all section of students including SC, ST, and OBC and religious minorities with special focus to female students. Our vision is also to transform our college in to a centre of excellence in the arena of Higher Education and contribute to the inclusive development of the country by generating quality human resources. The college aims at the holistic development of the young learners and hopes to mould them in the young citizens of the nations who are dependable, honest, committed and posses a sound value system.

Future plans

The college has plans to expand in near future. With expanding demand, the enrollment in higher education in this part of Cooch Behar District is growing at very high pace. Hence, the college has plans to build more infrastructure such as expansion of class rooms, library, administrative building etc.

The college will continue to serve the society in future for overall upliftment. As the region is by and large inhabited by SCs and STs, this institution will continue to uplift the backward society. The NSS and Kanyashree Units will be expanding with addition of more units and students. Besides, the college has plans to introduce PG courses in near future. There is enough scope to introduce modern GIS & RS laboratory, research consultation and connecting our library with other academic institutions. The science departments will receive more students as the Honours courses in science disciplines will be introduced soon. Moreover, the teaching faculty is increasing and will continue to expand in substantive and Guest faculty vacancies.
